At the start of this month Google has introduced updated AdWords ads into their Maps app for Android, iPhone and iPad. That’s great news for local businesses wishing to get more from their advertising with Google AdWords.
The ads appear at the bottom of the screen when a user perform a search. Paid clicks include:
- “get location details” click
- “get directions” click
- “click-to-call” click, and
- click on the ad headline
Google AdWords will only charge for up to two paid clicks per ad impression. These ads can be setup by adding “location extensions” to an existing campaign.
