Silverstone Outdoor Go-Kart & Amusement Centre is an outdoor Hire Go-Kart facility located in Bremner Court Moama, NSW just across the Murray River from Echuca.The Centre is a well laid-out authentic race track with a bituminised surface and a lap distance of nearly 400 metres. The track remains open in adverse weather conditions and is lit for night racing. All Karts have been manufactured to racing kart specifications and were supplied by a manufacturer associated with the Go-Kart industry. The 5.5 HP Honda 4 stroke motor mounted behind the rear axle provides adequate power to make for excellent racing.
The standard Kart is the fast Kart. For younger or conservative drivers requiring a slow Kart, accelerator stops are used to limit the speed to 20 kph. Standard hire time is 10 minutes (a 5 minute option is available for tandem and slow Karts), additional time after the first 10 minutes is available at a reduced rate. For best racing, drivers should take a break after each 10 minutes of driving.
The air conditioned shop has video games, ice-creams, soft drinks, sweets and pre-packaged pies & pasties for your comfort. If you enjoy watching others race or come in a group, bring your meat & salads and use the free BBQ facilities. Silverstone is available for group bookings. Some groups come for relaxation and the thrill of Go-Karting while others use the activity to compliment a training or development conference theme. Many groups incorporate a BBQ meal. Onsite spit roast catering is supplied through Cop A Roasting. The Centre is flexible and normally able to accommodate a Group's requirement
At Silverstone there are only adult size Karts. To reach and safely operate the pedals, even with cushions, prospective drivers are required to be taller than 1.5M (5 feet). There are tandem (2 seater) single control Karts available for an adult driver and a child passenger.
