FAQ - Domains
Q. Where can I register a domain? A. You can register a domain with any Domain Registration Provider (or registrar). If you have any trouble or simply need help, please contact us.
Q. I registered a domain on your old site. How do I manage it? A. To manage domains that were registered through our old site, please click here to log in.
Q. What is redelegation? To see your website on the Internet you must redelegate your domain, or change your domain's hosting information. When you redelegate your domain, you're simply telling your domain registrar (the company through which you bought your domain, such as Melbourne IT) to change the direction of your domain from its current server to OzeClick's name server (the server that handles domains). Redelegating allows you to switch to a new hosting provider without having to actually transfer the management of you domain name to a new registrar. The redelegation process takes on average 24-72 hours.
Q. How do I redelegate my domain name? When you first registered your domain you would have recieved an email with login details, such as a domain password. You can email these details to us and we can change the nameservers for you. Or you can login to your domain registrar and change the nameservers yourself. Please contact us for the correct details to enter.
Q. I have a second domain that I would like to point to my site. Can you do that? Please ask your domain registrar (where you registered your second domain) to enable "forwarding" of your second domain to your site URL. With most registrars this is a free service. If we were to set up forwarding at our end we would need to create a "virtual site" on our server, which would involve a monthly fee.
